Action Without Borders is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City. Among other programs, Action Without Borders runs the website Idealist.org.
Idealist.org is a website that facilitates connections between individuals and institutions that are interested in improving their communities.
Action Without Borders has offices in the United States (in New York, NY; Portland, OR; and Washington, DC) and Argentina (in Buenos Aires). We also have staff based in Seattle, WA and Geneva, Switzerland. In total, we have almost 60 employees.
Action Without Borders was founded in 1995. Its founder and executive director is Ami Dar.
Over 57,000 nonprofit organizations from more than 180 countries have created profiles on Idealist.org. They use these profiles to list information about their missions, programs, services, and opportunities. Our Spanish- and French-language sites have unique directories with even more nonprofit listings.
